random stupid things
it's a new year, but it doesn't feel new, per se. people are the same, and so am i. i would always wonder why people were so passionate about dates as a kid, but now that i can slightly understand, it's because people want a "reset", so to speak. like a do-over, or a clean slate, so they can ignore all their mistakes and start afresh, like kids do every new academic year. but is it, a clean slate ? we always find ourselves here, just a 365.25 days cycle over and over. is it sensible to get a new slate ? maybe, who am i to question that, even if i don't use or understand the significance of these events, what i can be is respectful, of someone's feelings and their efforts. we all use our experiences to grow, and sometimes we can find that "thing" in stupidest things, like kicking a stone on your way somewhere, or a droplet of dew rolling down a window sill, but it is you, or we, that use those random, stupid reason, as a motivation to do things, that are very often random or stupid.
